The European Association for South Asian Archaeology and Art (EASAA) is pleased to announce the availability of five travel bursaries for PhD students and Early Career Researchers whose papers or posters have been accepted for presentation at the 27th Conference of the European Association for South Asian Archaeology and Art (EASAA 2026), Ghent.
Each bursary includes:
• A waiver of the conference registration fee
• A contribution of €600 towards travel expenses
These bursaries aim to support the participation of emerging scholars and to encourage engagement with the international community of researchers working on South Asian archaeology,art history, and related disciplines.
Applicants are invited to submit:
• A short biographical note (maximum 100 words)
• A brief statement (150 words) explaining how their accepted EASAA 2026 paper or poster relates to their broader research and how attending EASAA 2026 will contribute to their academic and professional development

The selection results will be emailed by 25 April 2026.
